From the beginning
The story of Millennial Tulsa reaches back more than two decades to Northern Ireland, where Paul and Karen Brady were seeking a deeper reality of the God they read about in Scripture.
As young believers, they were convinced that if God was real, there had to be more to their faith than simply knowing about Him. They longed to experience the reality of walking with God, living in His Kingdom, and seeing His love transform lives.
In the 1990s, a friend gave Paul and Karen a series of teachings that opened their understanding to the life of faith, the goodness of God, and the authority believers have in Christ. As they listened together in their home, something began to change. Their understanding of God expanded, their faith came alive, and a new vision for ministry began to take shape.

A Work Was Born
In 1999, what had begun as an organic gathering in their home for prayer, teaching, and fellowship was growing into something more.
Paul was working full-time in the police force, Karen was working as a nurse, and life was busy, but their desire to help people encounter God continued to grow.
One day, as Paul was driving home from work, he sensed the Holy Spirit speak one phrase to his heart: “Living Rivers.” Inspired by Ezekiel 47:9 and the picture of life-giving waters flowing wherever they go, the name captured what God was birthing through their lives and ministry.
Living Rivers became more than a name. It became a picture of the mission: to bring life, awakening, and the reality of God's presence wherever they went.
Over the years, church families were established, new ministry initiatives were launched, and countless people were rescued, transformed, equipped, and activated to make a difference in their generation.

“And wherever the double river shall go, every living creature which swarms shall live. And there shall be a very great number of fish, because these waters go there that [the waters of the sea] may be healed and made fresh; and everything shall live wherever the river goes.” Ez 47:9

From Northern Ireland To Tulsa
The call to minister overseas eventually brought the Bradys and their family to the United States.
In 2012, Paul and Karen followed God's leading to Tulsa, Oklahoma, with a clear sense that the city would become an important part of their assignment.
Paul recalls the Lord giving him a simple but powerful instruction:
“Create a hub for My Spirit to move.” Prayer was to be central—not an afterthought, but a foundation woven into everything they would do.
Tulsa became home, and the vision continued to expand.

Today, Millennial Tulsa is part of that continuing story. We believe God has positioned us in Tulsa to help create an environment where His Spirit can move, where people can encounter Jesus, where prayer becomes a lifestyle, and where believers are equipped and activated to carry the life of God into their families, workplaces, communities, and nations.
